The military has always been loyal to the president. He is the top of the chain of command. This is why the president is called the commander in chief. A general being āapoliticalā is a general that is not following orders. Like the generals who ignored president trumps orders to begin stepping down troop presence in Iraq. Using words like āregimeā and ādictatorā are just hyperbole and fear mongering. Trump isnāt a dictator, heās a president, with limited authority. If you look at history, it was the rogue generals that brought down the Roman republic and established the Roman Empire.
