another thing that's weird to me that when the Chinese adopted Japanese blades into their ranks, like the Lk Chen Wo Yao Dao and Chang Dao, their prefered blades have no Yokote but rather used Shobu Zukuri type of blade that has no yokote

so, its the point at which the blade begins tapering in width (height? i think height is the term used in kitchen knives. as opposed spine thickness, I mean.) to form the point? where the two grinds meet.

The counterpolish yokote is probably my biggest bugaboo with cheap swords.
