I’m in cosmetology school and you did a great job! Protective styles are my favorite, I love how you can make them as simple or detailed as you want.
Two strand twists can definitely be tricky. I would say an easier style would probably be comb coils, only downside is that you can’t add extension hair (or upside if you want a cute style without extension hair, I know that can get expensive quick). Bantu knots are a classic as well, leave them in and/or do a knot out for two more easier styles.

I would break it down. Like for this, start off as box braid. Part her natural hair and Braid it down. Then get a hair crochet hook, feed the hair through the natrual hair and then do the twists. Also if you know how to Cornrow, you can do a sew in. Smaller braids is key and then you feed in the ends. Then you are going to take the weave and sew it to the hair with needle and thread. You want the curved needle and embroidery thread for cheap. Learn how to do a blanket stitch. You can even make your own hair wefts from braided hair.
