Geeky Teas & Games in Burbank is kinda like this, but for board games and tabletop games! You can go in and play their whole library of games for like $5 or host a D&D session there with friends. And they have tea and coffee AND a cat rescue inside the shop!

Board game places are like this! Lot of them have icecream or in house food places, but usually no console type gaming to play there but some places usually sell a small selection of them as well as books and art supplies for like d&d and have cool music playinb
I did go to a gaming place though that allowed you to play all sorts of different consoles and arcade games in different rooms with your own snacks and drinks and they had some you could buy too
I’m all for this though, I’m all for fun adult gaming places with food involved and just add books onto that would be great, I also miss how it used to be in GameStop with being able to play games and try them before purchasing. Add some cozy seating and kind of homey feel would be great
Also seen some coffee and drinking places with board games and free libraries

Many libraries carry video games these days. You could even order them from another library to be delivered to yours. Some have used games or books for sale as well.

We have similar stores in Seattle! Al's, Hi-Fi Lofi, and Pink Gorilla are all super cute and friendly gaming stores with resale sections. There aren't areas to play games though!

I feel this. The last time I was about to go into our GameStop I got the “Eww a it’s a gir!” treatment. No wonder they shut down for good.

Yessss!!! 🎉 I was literally in my local game store the other day and I asked if they had any cozy games and they were like “what is that?.” The store had no cozy items, decor, etc. Every game store has an old and boring vibe so a cozy gaming shop is a MUST! ✨🥰

I know there’s gaming stores where they host sessions in my city, but I also feel like I’d be spat on lol. These places usually host DND and Yugiyo events so I’d feel intimidated since I don’t play those games haha
