Not sure which admit/university to go for?
In current economy and job market, I suggest you prioritize those programs that can help you find jobs most easily. You can do this by going for:
🔆Top rank universities typically attract good employers and solid career fairs, so if you have an option, choose a higher (top 20ish) ranked program
🔆Big city location have many employers around and they come to hire students on campus, so do prefer locations like NYC, Silicon Valley, Boston, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, LA, Seattle if you can
Second thing I would prioritize is cost of attendance. An imp note here: don’t just look for cheaper tuition fee but look for net cost of attendance i.e. what you have to pay = tuition fee - possible funding amount (TA/RA etc)
Other factors which may be important to some of you:
- Warmer climate (yes it matters a lot in keeping you happy and mentally healthy)
- Curriculum and faculty
- Cultural exposure (diverse student body etc)
Last but MOST important - there is NO perfect choice, you win some you lose some. This is why it’s important to introspect what matters the most to YO
