"So this is the end for us both, huh?"
He said chuckling humorlessly, his hands dramatically spread out
"Well then come at me with all you got, love, I don't have all day"
The woman looked at him with hardend eyes, oh how he loved his fierce woman. the cold unforgiving walls that she has been perfecting for years was a distraction against what she was truly feeling, but he knows her, he had loved her more than she could ever think of, maybe if he....
"Don't get too cocky,I can tell what you're thinking about, but it's over" she told him as if she has read his mind, he freezed momentarily as she directed the gun towards him.

I love her. Correction loved her. We had that perfect love, the sickening kind that was all soppy and bubbly. We are meant for each other. Correct were meant for each other.
She turned on my family, she picked hers. I was supposed to be her family⌠right? We had that crazy kind of love, we got married almost immediately. Maybe truly, as much as I didnât want to hear it, we jumped into things too quick. Now I can see the true side of her, the side I was too blindsided in love to see.
We face each other, on the other sides of the battlefields. Sheâd picked her family, so I picked mine. I had no choice, she should have came with me. That was what was supposed to happen. Her blue eyes pierce mine, she has no remorse, her eyes are cold and ignited my stomach into flames. She smiled, not the warm and gentle type, the snarly and bitter type. She took a glance at her family, then at me, maybe she did make the right decision. Hopefully god was just warning me I was never right for her, never meant for each other.
âFunny what fate did to us huh?â She snarls as she speaks, the wind howling in response. Her words were cold and heartless, like she wished for it to happen. My stomach churned, this wasnât a side of her I knew. Why did this have to happen?
âY-You were supposed to pick me, we are family!â I screamed back, her words suffocated my throat. I was so hung up on it and she was just reckless and uncaring.
âFamily? No, these people are my family, get over yourself and our relationship. Itâs done we are over. Iâm glad I saved myself before I couldnât escape.â Her words cut through me like a knife, tearing my heart more and more. Done. It was done. Reality sank like the clouds above me in the sky. Lightning thumped against a nearby tree, reflecting my mood perfectly. A single tear rolled down my cheek. She smiled, she knew she had won.
Did she ever love me?
If yâall want another part lmk!!

We were perfect; two puzzle pieces that fit just right. She made my heart complete, and I loved her more than anything.
I never would have guessed war would be our demise. Weâd always been so agreeableâso complementary of each other. Opposites attract, but in a different light. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
Things never should have taken a turn for the worse. The moment war broke out, all hell reigned loose.
âWhat are you doing?â she had asked, with a slight raised brow and a wrinkle of doubt lining her forehead.
âFighting for whatâs right,â I replied grimly, looking out at the desolate scene before me. My mind and heart were fighting, tearing each other apart one by one.
âIs it right if itâs against your will?â she asks quietly, her eyes shining with unshed tears. She was desperate, her mind trying to come up with an explanation for why things went wrong.
Of course she was doing it againâgaslighting me. This wasn't against my will. This was my choice.
And that was why we could never be together. She couldn't handle the fact that I chose differently.
âNo,â I say quietly, shaking my head. âI know what Iâm doing.â I pause, before choking out the two words I hate most:
Iâm sorry.â

The air was heavy between us, thick with words neither of us dared to say. I looked at him, searching for some spark, some sign this was all just a bad dream. But all I saw was the stranger he'd become.
âSo, this is our reality, isnât it?â I said, my voice barely above a whisper. âWe walk away now⌠and leave everything we were behind.â
He didnât look at me, only nodded, a sad resolve hardening in his eyes. âGoodbye, then. I hope, somehow, you find peace.â
And just like that, he turned, the person who once promised to give up everything for me now slipping away, a shadow in the fog of what was left of us.

Obscuria was not a country known for its peace, but Andrew and Catherine were. A farmer and a seamstress, they lived on a lovely little patch of land full of flowers and trees, separated from the war zones, which were miles away. Little did they know they could not escape them forever.
"What is it?" Andrew asked Catherine one day as she slammed the door on her way in, her face pale.
"The war for our country is starting," she said, breathing heavily. "The brief period of peace is over. As always, soldiers are in short supply, so we must both go to the battlefield, given that we are physically capable and without children."
"I'm not going," Andrew said sternly.
Catherine raised an eyebrow. "Why? How would you even dodge the draft?"
"I don't have to fight for our bloodthirsty empress," he said through gritted teeth. "And you don't have to either. What is she going to do, drag us away to a concentration camp if we refuse?"
Catherine glared at him hatefully. He swallowed a lump in his throat, truly surprised by this turn of events, just like she was.
"How can you say such foul things about Madam Bellerose?!" she wept. "She's only doing what's best for our country!"
"If mass enslavement, conquest and slaughter are the best that our country can do, we deserve to be burned to the ground."
"Oh, so you're agreeing with foreign propaganda now?" she said, crossing her arms. "Why are you hellbent on hating our country so much?"
Andrew let out a heavy sigh. "Because we are the ones who let ourselves be ruled by that pretender, that schemer, that bride of Satan-"
Those foul words made Catherine feel physical pain.
"I hate you!" she screamed. "You're a liar! She's a God, and you know it!"
"A God?" Andrew said, seething with rage. "Well, I'll tell you something-"
He said some rather nasty words about both her and Catherine, and it made her march out of their house and slam the door on her way out.
"I'm getting a divorce!" she shouted, leaving, stopping dead in her tracks after what he said next.
"At least you won't murder me," he said, laughing darkly, causing her to groan.
An hour later, they were both separated from each other, crying, mourning the love that they had lost, having no idea how they would face each other on the battlefield.
