I remember encountering a roundabout like this in the dark many years ago, before the days of satnav. My brother, who lived in the area had given me directions by reference to a roundabout exit. I had taken a dual carriageway off the M25 so it was not apparent to me that this was a roundabout and I ended up very lost. I recall going into a garage to ask for directions, but the man there seemed to have no idea where he was by reference to my road atlas. I must have tracked down the route eventually, but can’t remember how. I can’t help feeling that junctions like this can be dangerous with fast moving traffic on the dual carriageway combined with strangers to the area who are trying to understand the road layout.

The biggest problem with these huge roundabouts is not their design (although i could argue this could be layed out better) but the fact the road marking are all worn away. Repaint the road markings and it would make a lot more sense

Very confusing. Even a few simple 2 lane roundabouts we have here in my city can be a bit confusing at times. I can't imagine this! I'm from the USA.

These are becoming more common in the UK as it makes the roundabout more efficient if there is a heavy volume of traffic using one of the exits. In this case, to access a disk carriageway.

I can see self driving teslas and sat nav driving humans getting lost there.
That really needs either local knowledge or a really good sign kn start of roundabout and some more signs with destinations on each exit.
Any hoodies with e scooters using that roundabout there?? 😅
