There are a few obvious references to warm, wet circles. The wet ring left by a glass on a bar counter is one. A bullet hole, crying eyes, a female anatomy reference, a mother's kiss, a headlight.
But taken as a whole, I think the circle is a the beginning, middle, end, repeat of a one sided relationship. At the end, the girl is just starting it all over again.
