I grew up with this on top of strawberries (cut in layers and sugar and left in the fridge overnight), and only recently have found it in the grocery store but just like yogurt knew could be made at home. Thank you Chef!

I feel like creme fraiche is one of those discoveries/inventions that happened by accident/mistake. Or some mad lad was experimenting, but either way, that's much easier to make than I thought!!

OH WOW! 1qt heavy cream, 6 table spoons butter milk (go big or go home) 18hrs sitting on the stove top (~76-78), wham bam thank you mam, it's so good. I am sure going to have a hard time staying out of it while it sets up in the frig. The stuff from the store ain't even in the same league, not in texture, not in color, or taste.
Next stop the granddaughter, she is in the local culinary school, she absolutely needs this in her arsenal, if she doesn't have it already.
