Dude. You have no idea how relieved i am to see you tilt your head. Learning ASL and taking videos of myself to see how I'm doing has made me realize that I am incapable of asking a question without tilting my head. I was worried I'd look like a confused dog, since it's wayy more obvious when im speaking ASL than when I'm speaking English

"Do you need help" is also good asl phrase for people in the medical field who are interacting with deaf patients.

Thanks for this! I have occasional deaf clients and I really appreciate how you break it down.

I don't work in customer service, but I firmly believe everyone should know at least some basic vocab for ASL (or whatever sign language is used in their area) and stuff like this is very useful for that

My sister used to work at Dunkin' Donuts, and one of my favorite stories from her is when is deaf customer came in and was struggling to place an order. My sister knew ASL and was able to take the person's order..They were so happy that they could actually communicate with someone. Anyways, I love my sister

In my third grade we learned your welcome as
Hold the baby. Throw the baby!

Thinking about the time a hearing person told me that instead of signing you're welcome just to give a head nod

My favourites are:
"WE CLOSED".
"YOU NEED MEDICAL?".
"YOU WANT TALK POLICE?".
Keep in mind I almost never see any Deaf ppl. But I'll sign to people who try to talk to me through a locked door or window.

I love your content! I'm 18 and I'm losing my hearing, and it's super nice to learn ASL from you and see you still live a fantastic life despite losing your hearing! I was anxious I wouldn't be able to do what I want with life due to my hearing loss, but watching you has helped

How about “I don’t actually know sign aside from ‘need help?’ ‘thank you’ and ‘your welcome’” 😭 I’m scared they’d start signing at me thinking I knew what they were saying since I started it and I’d have to backtrac

This is a godsend! I recently re-entered customer service, and although I've only had one Deaf guest so far, I was sad that I literally only know "thank you." I'm trying to get back into language learning as well, and I think ASL might be my next attempt :)

"I'm deaf and I do ✨ edutainment ✨" is such a fabulous and effective shortening of your introductory blurb, I love it! It's somehow perfect at conveying the specific vibes of your channel while also being vague enough to encompass your niches and then some. Well played! Edit: And omg the lightning fast banterish patreon plug outro was also fabulously executed. Video just needs a comment linking it! 💚
