I have a Gameboy Advance SP coming in the mail this week. I have an indigo OG GBA but I am having technical issues because I forgot to change the batteries one time and rust is a B! There was a bit of rust on the spring where you put the battery so I used alcohol(not the drinking kind) but I was too late. When I turn my OG GBA on, the little light on the right flickers between red and green even with fresh batteries in. When I have the GBA on and I am playing a game, it takes me ALL THE WAY back to the GBA logo as if I was turning it on. I thankfully learned my lesson and am saving up as I want to learn how to fix my handhelds.
To those with an GBA, CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES when they die RIGHT AWAY! Don't leave them in there for long periods of time.
