I can so picture that!! Also in the mid 50s, the one time my mother with very dark hair had a salon do two blonde strips framing the face for a Veronica Lake type style (modeling at a swank hotel fashion show) THEY TURNED GREEN AS WELL! SHE CUSSED LIKE A SAILOR TOO!!!!
