People often compare upgrades by just looking at the peak power figure and they assume that A Higher Peak Power Means A Car Will Be Faster!
It reality you need to look at the entire power band, a blip at the top end gives bragging rights but in reality a cars performance depends on having decent power delivered throughout the RPM range not just at the top end.
You should match your power band to your use of the car, if you spend most of your time in the mid RPM range then this is where you need the power to be focussed.
