To work towards viewing others in a better light, rather than not. Gives people a chance to not be condemned by what is not true. I think one can do this and still have a sober view of humanity without falling into a naive mindset. This helps our understanding by allowing us to think critically about situations when everything else tells us differently. Great question my bro!
