My wife smiles big every time I walk in the house, I really don't think she knows how it affects me! Because of this I smile at people I care about. It affects me deeply and she doesn't even know she's smiling. I love her deeply! Just that smile has taught me so much!

"I didn't give you advice" but she heard your wisdom either way...my husband and i I are both previously divorced. I had only known abusive or disrespectful relationships before him. We have been together for a long time... he has been working a lot of overtime and I have not...tonight I drew him a bath, poured him a drink and am cooking dinner. I had never known you could just live freely and be one another's safe haven like this before meeting him. It's how it should be and perspective is everything! One of the best things we imply in our family is when we wake up in the morning we act like we haven’t seen each other in years and we say we missed each other and we hug and smile and sometimes we dance. Same for when we come home to each other. Our kids have responded dramatically to it and there is so much joy in the home all day when you start it off right.

When I was in high school I had a summer job at an electrical warehouse. There was an old guy that had the best energy, he was a pleasure to be around. I asked him why he was always in a good mood. We called him Godfather. He said he had been married 52 years and everyday when he got home his wife treated him like he just got home from the war. A blessed man he was.
