My service dog in training is a Weimaraner and she is awesome. Training with her has been so easy that I went through a really good breeder that knew what I was looking for when they help pick my puppy for me

My parents got a weim when I was a kid that, when left alone, ate the entire leather couch. Ripped open every cushion. So perhaps be better and more responsible owners than they were.

Get an English setter as well! No one is mentioning this breed but they are awesome. Easy to train, sweet, non aggressive and beautiful all around. They are gundogs so they are athletic so you should bear that in mind. Weimaraners are also really great as well❤❤ thank you for your video!!!

I have a boxer/ Weimaraner mix. Endlessly affectionate and entertaining. Very intense. Lots of energy. High prey drive.

A high energy dog for hunting meant for a family? That seems far more than what most people can handle. A big boned relatively lazy show-line labrador will be better in my opinion unless u really do be about that active lifestyle which nowadays,people are not

Got a weim, love them but they're very anxious and very energetic, 2-3 hours of good excercise a day minimum

You make them sound easier than they are. Weimaraners are for highly interested hunters. Please dont get one just because they are so beautiful.

Grew up with many Weimaraners, they are not a beginner breed. Please do not get one unless you're ready to provide 2-3 hours of exercise daily. And please be careful where you get one. Their gene pool has gotten much worse over the past few decades because of overbreeding and increased interest. It's not as bad as Dalmatians but is on that trajectory.

My sister had one that hanged himself off the back porch of her house when her dog sitter stupidly attached the runner to the dog’s choke collar instead of its breakaway collar 😢 my poor sister never got another dog after that, too this very day, and it’s been over 20 year

Weimaraner are highly energetic hunting dogs with a high prey drive. Working line Weimaraner are restricted only for active hunters. At least that is the case in Germany.
