This is somehow one of those amazing features only a select group of camera lenses have built-in and most of them are made for Leica
But you don't have to be one of those posh Leica photographers to have one. Today I designed and 3d printed one for my Helios 44-2, my favorite manual lens.
I gave it a try just out of curiosity π€·ββοΈ and was blown away by how much of a difference it makes in terms of ergonomics.
This will reduce the amount of shake you introduce while focusing your lens and make it easier to nail your composition
