If what weâre taught about the teachings of Jesus are true, he wouldnât have wanted an entire nation wiped out on his account because of the actions of the most powerful in it, particularly not his own nation. Â
Weâre told that he was all about the outcast, the lowly, the poor, little children, etc. Heâd be horrified.

I donât think that Hitler was living out his life as a devout Roman Catholic based on his actions and the people he persecuted. A Christian would see that Hitler was not loving his neighbour or his enemy. He clearly did not recognise that all humans were made in the image of God. He despised Christianity for being a descendant religion of Judaism. Repentance comes genuinely from the heart. You donât get off Scott free unlike Muslims:
đ¨đ¨Muslims avoid personal responsibility:
Sahih Muslim 2767 d
Abu Burda reported Allah's Messenger () as saying:
There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with as heavy sins as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians. (As far as I think), Abu Raub said: I do not know as to who is in doubt. Abu Burda said: I narrated it to 'Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz, whereupon he said: Was it your father who narrated it to you from Allah's Apostle ()? I said: Yes.â ď¸â ď¸
We have all fallen short of the grace of God and disobeyed him. We do not deserve heaven, yet God still offers us a place in it.
We shouldnât continue to sin:
Romans 6
New International Version
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
âźď¸â ď¸You have to be genuine when seeking repentance and forgiveness from God. In your heart and mind. Jesusâ first act when starting his ministry was a call for repentance of sins. Hitler clearly wasnât a Christian due to his actions and the people he killed. Catholic priests his fleeing Jews and were killed for doing so. He hated Christianity due to its parent religion, Judaism. Just because he grew up a Roman Catholic does not mean he reflected Biblical values when relating to another person. Love God and love others and you would love yourself, not trading insult for insult as Jesus said to not do when he was talking about turning the other cheek. Love your enemies.â ď¸

Are you forever bringing up constantine? Once you bring up constantine, your points just end up losing its value. Constanstine didnât have Christians "set Christianity." There were two prevailing thoughts among Christians at the time. Those who believed Jesus was the first and perfect creation of God even though he was still God, aka the Arians. And those that believed Jesus not to be a creation but consubstantial and coeternal with the Father. And we all know disunity even in religion has the capacity to break an empire. So constantine called the first ecumenical council. Constantine didnât tell them what to say or what to decide on. He accepted the councils decision, and nicene Christianity won out. Constantine later got baptised by an Arian. You'd think he would stick to nicene clergy if he was somehow involved in the decision.
The official practices and beliefs were not even fully codified because there were a lot more councils to come after. Christianity does not see a reason to write down all our beliefs. We assume that everyone should believe the same reading the Bible. So when a group starts disagreeing with truth, a council needs to be set up to anathemise the belief. The truth would be affirmed. Same thing with the trinity. Many people already believed Jesus was God and the begotten son of God. It was when disagreements arose that a council was set to affirm the trinity and expand on it.
And as per your take on shifting blame, the Jews had always been blamed for the death of Christ. The epistle of barnabas, for example, a late 1st century early 2nd century writing. The author does not necessarily call the Jews Christ killers, but it's not like he has good things to say either. The Gospels represent the jewish leaders as constantly trying to have jesus killed. In the second century (so before Christianity became an official religion of the empire), the notion of Jews as Jesus killers was already brought up. Rome was blamed for other things. 1. They were still persecuting Christians, and 2. They were the ones Jesus foretold would lay Jerusalem to waste. So what happened after constantine legalised Christianity and theodosius made it the official state religion? we see a miracle like that of Paul. The same people who destroyed Jerusalem. The same people that persecuted Christians are now Christian themselves. Whereas the ones from whom Christ came up. The ones he selected his disciples from amongst did not recognise him. So we have a situation where the Romans are absolved. Now I don't think the Jews are Christ killers. The sins of humanity was the reason Jesus had to die. The council of Trent affirmed that as well. But I ask you? What did the Romans have to gain by wanting Jesus dead. He preached paying taxes. At the end of the day, it boils down to a religious issue.

Historical facts :
1. It was Romans who killed Yeshua.
2. Bishop Ignatius influenced his religion to change it's name to Catholic.
3. A Christian only observes Monotheism. While Catholic believes in numerous hybrid (combination of Pagan and biblical) concepts like Trinity, worshipping idols, sign of cross before praying, incarnation, ascension to heaven of respected Saints (even if there are no actual proofs), Rosary and the list goes on.

Yes, this is all true. Blame was shifted from the Romans to the Jews.... but the concept of inherited guilt is still way over my head....
