One thing I've found that helps is just setting a small 5 minute timer, seeing how much I can get done in those 5 minutes, and seeing how I go from there. I also try to remind myself that I don't have to have motivation to just do something that needs done. Music also helps, a lot.

I experienced this yesterday. I think I "peopled" too much yesterday and my day was too busy. I allowed myself down time for an hour or two but I had to force myself to get in gear. I finally did and then ended up having a decent day.

Thank you. Putting my phone down and actually resting in quiet is a good idea. Maybe yoga or meditation to REST. For those who can mentally rest. It's hard I know.

Speaking for myself I have to agree that rest, particularly sleep is vital for productivity. Problem that can sometimes arise is that if I'm not properly tired from a productive day, I can't sleep and then I'm tired again the next day which compromises my productivity again resulting in another poor night of sleep. Naps can be helpful but ultimately if I can just find something to do, even if it's not what I set out to do, the sense of accomplishment aids in a better night sleep. Then again sometimes that doesn't work either. So hey.

What I do.. is I find a song that I really resonate to.. make a 3-5 song playlist.. to motivate and refocus ❤ Music is huge in my life.. if ya need a few songs? Let me know!

I tell myself to put 3 items away, then continue. I'll also listen to a podcast with headphones while cleaning. This distracts my adhd/ocd brain to not think of EVERYTHING pertaining to the task at hand. annnnd WATER breaks are important.🎉
