2012年5月30日に発売し、現在もなおバックオーダーが
止むことない1stアルバム " ALBATRUS "から、1年半振りの
ファン待望の新曲が完成。" DEMO "と名付けられた
この曲は、2013年11月に所属レーベルJazzy Sport
10周年を記念したレーベルコンピ"Pound For Pound Vol.3"に
収録され、iTunes Store限定でのシングルカットも行った。
「パリのデモを見て最初驚いたのは、ほとんどの人が、ただ
歩いているだけだということである......」という朗読から
始まる"DEMO"。
この冒頭の詩は、哲学者の國分功一郎氏の" パリのデモから
考える "という記事 (スタジオジブリ小冊子『熱風』2012年
2号「デモ」特集号掲載) からの引用である。
この引用部分で語られていることを、実際に形に
したものが、12月7日(水)に行われた "大デモ"で
あり、(仮)ALBATRUSとして曲にしたのが
"DEMO"である。
そしてそのMVでは"DEMO"と"大デモ"が合体。
" 怖い顔して叫ぶよりも、この国の方向性になんとなく
不安を覚えた人たちが大勢集まって、ニコニコ楽しく
パレードの様に歩くことで、「国民は見てるぞ」 という
メッセージになる。「存在」というメタ・メッセージを
国に届けよう。"
という、三宅洋平による呼びかけに集まった大勢の参加者。
(仮)ALBATRUSの新曲"DEMO"をBGMに "大デモ"が行われ
1つの形になった記録とも言える映像になっている。
