They will strip off any protection you have on your wheels. If you have well maintained wheels, you only need a regular PH neutral car soap, or PH neutral wheel cleaner, which most are not. The only one I use is Diablo Wheel Cleaner which is PH neutral and probably just a soap gel but for well maintained wheels, it's all you need. Works perfectly and will not strip off any protection you have on your wheels. Of course my wheels never get trashed so I never need a heavy hitter like this on my wheels.
