Pete I am thinking about getting a Tele. What Tele is that you are playing and what pickups are in it? I was considering the Nashville Player Plus or a Squier Classic Vibe.

Very different. When I play a Strat, I’m mostly using the neck pickup. On a Tele, I’m mostly using the bridge pickup.

They both have their own vibe but Pete makes the vibe even better when he's playing 🔥

I like the strat because it has a distinct honky character to it. The tele has a tight sound. I think it's almost all down to the bridge design.

Wider variety of tones on the Tele, and more comfortable to play, too. Still need to have a HSS strat handy too, though.

Only difference I really heard was in the bridge pickups. The Tele sounded like it had higher output to me.
