Little sad that there was no way that they help trunks with Namekian dragon balls, the "alternative/present" is understandable, but in future is another history.
Either they forgot the Namekians, or something else happened to them off-screen "the ones that can use the Dragon Ball died again or smt" and since Piccolo is ded in future the earth dragon balls are also gone.
A shame really, and it is a little interesting that Trunks says that certain few things/events are different from what was told by him.
