I remember when those Segway things first came out, and I was living in DC walking everywhere and riding the metro. They just looked dangerous to me. So although I had a 45 minute walk each way to the metro, I wasnβt gonna get one of those.

I've just been trying to find out what happened to Jimi (his actual name) Heselden's dog. News articles from the time all agree he backed up to make room for another dog walker. Only one article stated he was 'probably' walking his dog: no other mention of the dog was made. Makes me wonder if the dog was unleashed & ran home after Jimi suddenly disappeared, when he ultimately fell 42 feet.
