I just got diagnosed with FND after many, many years of being diagnosed with it's original name in the ER a hundred times but no doctors would take it seriously xD
I don't have Tourettes but I'm adhd with a secondary deficit in visio-spacial and have to get tested for autism too! It's wild, finally being stable enough health-wise to get my neurological stuff looked at finally xD

Um one thing I didnāt know is that you can gain ticks over time Iāve always been autistic but around the time I turned 13 I started doing neck jerks and blinking, I was really confused because I knew of Touretteās but I always assumed you had to be born with itā¦.turns out no you can gain ticks through your life. Sings of Touretteās can be seen as early as 2 years old or as late as 18 (:

My brother has Touretteās, adhd and autism and your channel makes me feel so proud that heās my brother! Even though if I go out in public with him I might get stares or people might laugh at me/my brother but your channel has kinda found light in all thatās dark there and I want you to know that you help me everyday and I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished, and I know you might not see this comment but if you do, know that Iām always here for you and Iām always so grateful to have you on the same planet as me š„¹ā¤

Thank you so much for sharing this! I have longtime suspected that my eight year old daughter has ODD, ADHD, and autism. I have made an appointment for her in two days to be evaluated. She has also had numerous appointments with neurologist, Rheumatologist, sports medicine doctors, gastrologist, sheās had speech therapy and occupational therapy, physical therapy all in hopes of trying to figure out why she needed to use a cane, a walker, and even a wheelchair at some point because her legs were too weak to hold her body up. She also has what I referred to as episodes of where sheāll stay out loud that she doesnāt know where sheās at. She doesnāt feel like she exist. Sheās clearly confused and disoriented. None of them ever suggested this could be a possibility. So I am so happy to have stumbled upon this video and I plan to bring up the possibility with her upcoming mental health appointment. Thank you so much for posting this. I really appreciate it. You are helping so many people!

I just wanted to say that im glad I found this channel. I have what nuro doctors said "super severe Tourettes". basically I have what I call tic storms about 1 time per day sometime more where I will have a tic that caused me to hit my self over and over. it has gotten so bad in the past the I have been put in the hospital with a concussion and broken rib. im know working with an amazing therapy group to try and work on some of my Tics, OCD, and depression. im know going into high school after summer and am super exited to finally go to a normal school after 4 years of home schooling. I even went out for the football team this week and made it, and that was a dream come true for me. thank you for making these videos about this kind of topic, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I helps to see this. thank you!

I wonder if that "OCD in women, ADHD in men" has more to do with diagnostic rates in women VS men than the actual levels of co-occurrence. Hopefully in the next few years we'll get a more solid answer there as less women have ADHD diagnoses get missed
