My late dad taught me using my 10 fingers 5 is to mind God (God is our Father and so we have to honor God like our elders) and 5 is to mind others.

The ten commandments are so very important.
They lay the basic groundwork for how to live properly. We want to live as properly as we can to praise and honor Lord Jesus for his finished work.
it's ONLY through that finished work (the shedding of his innocent blood), and only through this that we are saved.
The ten commandments are good to follow for people carrying the Holy Spirit with them. When we do, everything sits right with our souls. When we don't, things feel off, but we're still saved!!!
Jesus is the good shepherd sent for lost sheep. That's all of us. Keeping the Ten Commandments doesn't save you. If keeping the ten commandments saves you, then why was there a Jesus at all? To say that anything except the finished work of Lord Jesus saves is like spitting in He's face.

This is where it literally pays to learn the Ten Commandments. Learning them though means nothing unless you obey them. Who of us can though! Only by being born again can we even come close. Thank God for Jesus Christ by whom only can we know mercy. 🙏

The Bad News- You are naturally born with a sinful nature and have broken at least one of the law (10 commandments) at least once in your life (Example: a lie) (James 2-10 says if you break one of these laws, its the same as breaking them all), so because of this you're on your way to hell already, everyone is (Romans 3-23)
The Gospel (Good News): JESUS, Who is GOD in the flesh, came into the world and died for us, to free us from the curse of the law (10 commandments) and ressurected on the third day so that whosoever BELIEVES in HIM will not perish but have everlasting life! GOD said this! GOD cannot lie (Titus 1-2, Hebrews 6-18) we can lie because we are sinners. JESUS saved us already (Colossians 2 13-14) Just BELIEVE and TRUST in HIM! HIM ALONE, anyone who gives you another Gospel, whether an angel or one of us, let him be accursed, like it says in (Galatians 1 6-9) JESUS ALONE! Not religion, Trust in HIM and you will receive the GIFT of THE HOLY SPIRIT. GOD HIMSELF! JESUS said "Repent ye and BELIEVE the GOSPEL" (Mark 1-15). AMEN! Thank YOU JESUS, ALMIGHTY GOD
