This was the statue that the emperor Constantine made for the basilica of Massentius in the Roman Forum.
It was a giant statue (12meters high/39 feet!) and the only fragments that made it to this day are exhibited in the Capitoline museum: the head, arm, knee, the feet..
So how are we looking at this whole statue today? Everything started from those fragments. The rest of the statue is lost, but it was digitally reconstructed based on those fragments and a deep study around them.
This project came to this beautiful result thanks to the collaboration of @sovrintendenzacapitolina (Rome Cultural Heritage Department), @fondazioneprada and @factumarte.

Wonderful! the video of the reconstruction is online...super short and amazing.
They should add a note about the change made to the hand.
It bothered me at first, but then I discovered that this is the true shape of the hand, proven by drawings of the pieces of the hand made by Francisco de Holland before the restoration of the hand in 1600, which reconstructed the middle finger incorrectly
