Washing legos in your washer is going to destroy the washer. It may also permanently damage legos. As a daycare worker, the best way to wash is soaking them with a diluted bleach solution in a plastic bin then rinsing and drying by laying out.

The Legos can be sprayed with Lysol, or put in a bucket with bleach water. Then air dried. The stuffed animals can be put in the washer. And, honestly, except for washing sheets and opening windows, I never did much of any of this when my kids got sick. I gave them the antibiotic if that is what was needed, and I assumed their immune systems would do the rest. Fed them clean, whole foods all the time, and made sure they got plenty of sunshine.

Oh- and I’m a dental hygienist - just get rid of a bit of the toothpaste and wipe toothpaste tube down thoroughly. I’m thrilled you’re replacing your brushes and with the way you show you prioritize oral hygiene with kiddos! Keep up the excellent work. You’re an awesome Dad. 💯‼

Just a tip but the legos in the tub with a splash of bleach, let them soak, rinse with the shower and let them sit in there to dry Put stuffed animals in the wash that way u don’t have to wringing them

Hey Dad Great Job! I would suggest buying covers for their Toothbrushes. Most people don’t realize what exactly floats around in their bathroom when they flush their toilets, especially if they leave the toilet seat up!

Change the tooth brushes after 48 hours or 4 dosages of amoxicillin … very contagious if your daughter is having an allergic reaction a rash have her pediatrician change it to another type of antibiotic

I used to wash toys for a living. Dishwasher top rack for hard toys in a netted laundry bag for intimate apperal. For soft toys you can wash them. I used a steamer on all the stuff animals especially the ones that were difficult to wash. I recommend getting food service purell wipes and or disinfectant spray. It's safe to use around food items and mouthed items. It might leave a small residue but nothing to be alarmed about. It doesn't need rinsed after using it and it's safer than bleach especially around children just don't leave it within their reach. You can also use it to clean toys you can spray them lay them out to air dry them put them away.

As a daycare teacher we wash the toys in 3 separate plastic bins.... 1. Soap and water 2. Wash them in warm water (change after each wash and 3. Disinfect in diluted bleach and water and then air dry on drying racks.. As a person.... NEVER EVER EVER put Legos in your washing machine. Put the STUFFED ANIMALS in there and Legos in the tub (with diluted bleach with the vent on)....
