Do you want to know what the calories in vs calories out maximalists aren’t telling you?

Eat 85% healthy foods consisting of mostly meats, veggies, whole grains, and some dairy. 15% can be double cheeseburgers and donuts, all within the parameters of keeping calories at bay. Yolo folks.

What most people miss with this “eat whatever” thing is that whole foods are far far more satiating compared to processed food. Processed food is practically pre digested making it very easy to digest thus not facilitating the release of leptin which keeps you hungry.

Calories are a baseline. There are variables like nuts. The caloies in nuts can depend on if their whole or chopped and how their cooked. Also the condition of your gut could mean how many calories you actually digest and how many you pass. Also protein takes more energy to digest than carbs. I usually count my calories and my macros. I doubt any one of these numbers are pin point accurate, they're ball park and thats good enough for me.

Dude thank you for this . I cannot stand the recent notion that caloric deficit is more important Thant nutrient dense single ingredient Whole Foods . I’d rather eat good quality food and not count calories than eating crap but being in a deficit .
