Forget and don’t give them a chance to do it right. Or you use it to wear them down to do what you want when it they are in no way obligated to do it. Like manipulating. I think of a teen begging to go to a questionable party. Texting repeatedly about it. Following mom around begging over and over. With the purpose of annoying her into doing it.
It is not pointing out things they are obligated to do. That is on them for not fulfilling obligations.

Proverbs 12 talks about a VIRTUOUS woman, not an excellent woman in the correct authorized translation (AKJV). If a man follows this proverb, ,he will choose a virtuous woman to be his wife. The proverb warns what will happen if his wife is a degenerate. There is no mention of nagging. In fact, ,a virtuous woman will likely nag, if necessary.
Jennie's partner is a Christian, so he did well to follow this proverb because Jennie is a virtuous woman.
Just because abusers mangle the bible and their marriages, that doesn't reflect on the original design of an ideal marriage.
