My cousins were on holiday visiting family in Malaysia and my 3yr old cousin wandered off and found a restaurant and ordered himself 3 bowls of rice by himself and sat there eating while his family frantically searched for him. The restaurant was happy to serve him and gave him and his family a free full meal once they found him again. The waitresses took pictures of him with his rice and the photos are still framed at my cousins house, 15 years later.

Kids are more attracted to whatever you normally feed them. For example, you eat junk foods and soda all the time your child will always go for that.

My kids would pick the rice as well. Seaweed and rice are a need. We're American. My husband is Puerto Rican, and my family is St. Kittian. You just can't go wrong with rice and seaweed meals ❤

Hilarious! My boy is white as the driven snow and American. His favorite lunch is rice and chicken, with seaweed bits, curry powder and sesame oil. Has preferred that and any rice dish over sandwiches his whole life. Great to see how some things transcend culture.😊
