Of coarse, bc if you care and take pride in what you do you give everything. Afterwards there is nothing left. Hence, you put your heart and soul into it. There shouldn’t be anything left. You will never get the credit you deserve for what you do but that’s not why you do it. If that was the case you would have quit eons ago. I’m not sure why I still play. It’s like breathing. I have to do it. You have obviously put your 10k hours plus some. Continue doing what you do. Great talent 👊🏼

💯🤘 YEARS ago....had a late night band gig. And after we had all piled in the truck, including my then boyfriend now husband at the time. It's 3am. We're burnt, done, exhausted....and my husband goes to turn on the radio...um. 😳
We ALL screamed NO!!! The look of absolute confusion on his face I will never forget! He knows now..... silence after ANY gig is a must

I've played the odd gig and would be similar just in the fact I go home to bed straight after I've played... Don't drink don't smoke don't do drugs... More inclined to meditate than have a drink... Meditation is "sitting quietly" after all... Cheers 🍻 I mean

Currently a newly gigging musician… mostly covers, coffeehouses, weddings, lots of worship music; and I’m the same way most days. This semester I’ve been listening to less music than ever while driving, which is weird to me. Is there really a common direct correlation between people who play more that makes them listen less? Fascinating to think about.
