As I stated in the original video, there are very good school systems and very bad ones in SC. It all comes down to funding, opportunity and jobs.
You can take the smartest person in the world and expose them to a situation with very little hope or opportunity; theyâre not going to bloom.
The wealthier districts have great schools; the poorer ones not so much. That was set up during Jim Crow.
The I-95 area is known as the corridor of shame. Itâs a largely agricultural, low income and underfunded educational area. Thereâs very little industry, high crime and not many good paying jobs. Thatâs a tough environment. Itâs slowly starting to change.
