In my experience, you leave a good inch of shingle overhang beyond the dripedge. The reason for this is that the rain will then bypass the fascia board. Otherwise the rain will follow the dripedge back to the fascia board and run down it. This will prematurely deteriorate wood fascia and run behind your eaves troughs. I’ve seen it happen often and I have been in the industry a long time

You're above and beyond if I'm right. It looks like you pookied your drip edge to completely seal it off from leaks getting under it, which also helps seal the starter coarse down before you nail it. If that's the case, then those shingles will still be attatched to the roof decking as a hurricane is ripping the house apart. 👌
