I (an expert witness) have walked out of depos before because of unprofessional attorneys. Don't let them bully you and hopefully your attorney is protecting you.

I got sued once when I was 17 for something that happened when I was 15. My mother and I went and answered the plaintiff's attorney's questions for a couple of hours, along with some other co-defendants. It was thrilling. We waited in their lobby for about 30 minutes while they discussed with their client, at which point they came out and said they were dropping the case against me.

I hated my first deposition. My companyâs lawyers found it hilarious though when I had to keep explaining to the other teams lawyers that I have answered the question it got to the point in which they handed me their evidence that the client collected. I then pointed out that these photos appear altered due to saturation in the images and the depth indication number on the white tiles show a weird blend to it which make the number invisible. I've been sued once. State Farm provided me a lawyer. Several video's you've posted have almost been verbatim what he told me. "I'm not State Farm's lawyer. I'm YOUR lawyer. During depo, I may say objection and you just keep talking UNLESS I say 'don't answer that' - you keep going". During a break I asked to go to the bathroom and he followed me - I think he took it as a hint but no, I really needed to pee BADLY lol.
A few days later I called him back proving that the other couple lied. Like outrageously lied. Gave him the name of the Sherriff that was on the scene. Dismissed with prejudice. Woo!
But I still owed property damages - which was fair.
Short story shorter: I got caught in a sneezing fit and during that the other people hit their breaks and the people in front of them went to turn. Smash. My fault.

In my case the very last questions werenât confidential per se, but they were inappropriate and inflammatory so I was advised to not answer. Basically they were accusing me of doing it for the money. Canât say more than that about it though

As someone who has watched a lot of movies and TV shows, I know that depositions are filled with leading questions, yelling, and the occasional fist fight.

I hired a good attorney and he pawned me off on a lump. At the deposition, the opposing attorney asked me a question protected by attorney-client privilege and I looked at my attorney waiting for the objection and he was daydreaming. I got so screwed in that lawsuit.

My first deposition was about an injury I suffered to my face and jaw from a car accident. I WAS 17!!!! This is relevant because the lawyer asked if I used my mouth in sex. Omg! I looked at him and said, you mean kissing? And he said no, in other ways! Again Iâm 17! They had asked my mom to wait outside. I looked at the guy and said, I refuse to answer that and looked at my lawyer and said âdo something!â He asked if it is really that important and to remember, sheâs a minor. I got up and walked out to my mom and told her what happened. She told them we were done and we started to leave. Then that same guy said I had to answer his questions or we would have to talk to a judge. I spun around and said, âlook pervert, if you get a judge to order it, Iâll explain to him why that isnât gonna happen. âWe left. A few weeks later they wanted to do a part two. I said if the same guy was there I would not be. There were 3 new lawyers and my mom present the second time. Needless to say, we didnât discuss sex.

I had one deposition where I was suing my former employer after they fired me over a workman comp accident. They did not ask a single question about the accident. Just personal questions. After the depo, they settled and paid. When I asked why they said they just wanted to see what kind of witness I would make on the stand.
