Even I feel better after 24 or 48 hours of fasting. I am doing fasting from last 7 months. My vitals are now in best shape. All the extra fat is lost and I feel light and energetic whole day.

I regularly do 36 hours fasting for health purposes and just to reset the body, my goal is not to lose fat by fasting... but it does help

It is proven, fasting for 24 hours helps in killing cancer cells and btw mostly everyone has cancer cells in their body but usually very less in numbers. Fasting once a week really helps in cleaning of the body and aids in keeping the cancer and other chronic disease away.

Actually, the energy that one feels after such a long fast is due to ketone bodies. After gylcogen depletion liver mobilises body fat and converts them into ketones, which are actually a superior fuel in comparison to glucose.
