I train all my horses to do this, I build bonds with them then do join ups for awhile and then do simple liberty training like moving hindquarters, shoulders, and backing up, it takes 10 extra minutes everyday and takes about 2-3 months for the whole process altogether, and it always amazes people that no matter where I fall off, arena, trail riding, at a show, I can always call my horse back just by getting their attention when I look at their hindquarters and clicking at them

My horse will run up and greet me and let me walk beside her all around the pasture no rope needed lets me do stupid crap with her,and she always always tries her best for me even when we are having a “girl fight” lol
Remember when they give you a hard time it’s just them teaching you how to be a better rider
A story we got a horse from a kill pen and she was wild we put her in the round pen and did something very similar to this we ran her and occasionally sat the whip down and let her decide if she wanted to come to us (at this point you could pet her it had been a month or so) she refused so she continued to run eventually we had to take a lasso and use it to catch her just to put a halter on her we soon learned she doesn’t like being in small spaces like that but stalls are fine because well different environment I guess but we put the halter on at last and that’s when we made some headway she would let us tack her up with all the tack saddles, bridles, (the normal tack nothing special) and a few months ago she went on her first ever trail ride she did amazing so proud of her had to tie a rope around the saddle horn one time to make her go through a little puddle but that was it
I will never forget that horse if she ever leaves us she taught me a lot on how to handle wild horses better I will stop yapping now! Thank you for reading this if you made it to the end

Every time i come to feed the horses in the morning he sits at the corner of the field closest to the barn and won’t go eat his hay until I’ve said goodbye to him and turned on the fence 😭❤️ he also loves cuddles, I will stand in his stall with him and pet him until he goes to the corner, facing the stall door… thats how he tells me he is ready for cuddles. he follows me around like a puppy dog in the arena. He stops when I fall off and comes over to make sure I’m ok. If he feels me lose balance he will slow down or stop. He perks up when he sees my car or hears my voice. He pushes the other horses away so he gets all my attention. They show us in the smallest ways, but when a horse loves you, you can always tell
