Couple of things to consider ...
1. When it's off the temp will rise. The issue is .. when it comes back on the electricity saved will get used as the F/F tries to drop the temp again.
2. The F/F freezer will need to work a lot harder trying to drop the temp again ... this may reduce the lifespan of the F/F.
My advice is to check the thermostat in the F/F. Make sure you're not running it too cold. Try increasing the temp and leave it running 24/7.

People saying it’ll drop temp etc.
It shouldn’t as long as no one keeps opening it up etc
It should hold temp for at least 12 hours as it’s a sealed unit.
So all your high risk item such as dairy, meat etc “should” be okay. If unsure, get a temp prob and check them.
The only worry I’d have here is that the motor keeps turning on and off and you could potentially kill it as they senate designed to do this.
Other than that, great bloody idea.
