Most amazing thing to me is how the white plastic is. It's still white and not yellow.
What a beautifully kept machine.

That thing probably had a retail price of about 4 grand back in the day. Really neat find.

486 was the number of seconds it would take to boot. I remember turning it on then leaving the room to make a coffee.

The Brand is Nan Tan Computer Co. they are from Taiwan. They made cheap computers in the early 90's. This one is Model 3530, which had a 486DX-25 CPU, SIP Memory, and No PCMCIA.

Man I kinda missed hearing an old laptop start up. It’s crazy that sound was so nostalgic

Very nostalgic for me. I remember using a 486 thinking there’s no way they can make it any better than it is now. Boy was I wrong.

Stuff was built to last back in the day. My 40 year old Texas Instruments graphing calculator still works.

My Grandfather once spent thousands on one of the first laptops only to play chess……What a man!😊

Nothing is better than finding an old laptop where the battery stills a charge. I found a Compaq Armada from 1996 that still has a run time of 30 minutes on a full battery which is a damn miracle.

I can just imagine some wealthy business man using that thing thinking he's got the best tech ever.

That's a damn nice unit! Stunning that the battery still works 😮. This was also at a time they were probably worth like $4000 before inflation adjustment
