I‘ve been saying this for years! Instead of exams or grades companies should give candidates simulated problems to solve. If they can solve it then they are hired

I love your short vids. They are truthful honest and give awareness to the public. Even if people don't like to admit the truths. There still there

I'm in computer science, and I believe we need to adopt the apprenticeship model. Alas, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

It should be that you need experience and the degree

You can go to college without massive debt. You just don’t need to go to that private school. Go to your state school near home and get a job to offset the cost. You might have a little debt but none of this $100k+ BS. Maybe consider two years of junior college and transfer to the big university. JC is significantly cheaper and the degree will say the same thing.

Listen to this guy if you want. Degrees are what makes you stand out point blank period. Everyone has experience in something but dont have the education to critically think in ways that will benefit the company in the long run.... Or enhance their own way of living....

Been saying this for years. College was never meant to be for everything and everyone anyway. I've got a great career and never went to college. Lol

Where about the rest of us who went through with getting our degrees?

All our hard work then goes unrewarded?

I dont believe one matters more than the other, meaning experience vs educatuion. The emphasis should be placed on both. Just like Einstein said intellect should not be the main component of choosing our leaders, it needs to be our emotionally strongest characters as well, which is strengthened from our experiences.

So yes, degree requirements should lessen, but financial costs should be completely diminished as well.
People who come from poor communities should have the same educational opportunities as wealthy people.
It makes sense that not only our intellectually brightest and financially more fortunate should have more opportunities to make a difference in this world, our experiencers from all aspects of life should have the same opportunities....because we know its not best to look for leaders based on intellect and fortune alone. We need people who have learned to survive and grow and change their lives, to truly connect w others to effect change for the betterment of society.

Yes yes experience over education, IF THEY WOULD EVEN OFFER THE EXPERIENCE, no one is hiring without years of experience here, if you're young you can't find a job

Is there an issue between your concept of "status” and your own concept of 'identity’ ? I’d really wanna know. So who are you?

How about universities actually started teaching us the important stuff, the stuff we actually use after graduation rather than everything (including things that are not as important) so we're skilled enough when we receive our degrees?
