1. Still needs an operator to load the shingles to the robot and inspect the work
2. Oddball roofs will be the bane of this robot - and will still require manual labor to shingle spaces where the robot cannot reach
3. Roofing operators will become a skilled tech job to identify the portions of the roof that can be automated and the parts that cannot be automated. Additionally, any flashing, gutters, vents/vent caps will still need to be managed manually

Haha having worked with several roofers throughout my years, definitely a good idea. Had one roofing contractor bring out this older guy to shingle the roof to my well-house and said he had been doing it for 30 years, thing blew off in a small wind storm in one piece, I went up and did it myself in an hour and had withstood many big storms no problem. Had another roofer show up completely hammered and wound up postponing for weeks because of the heat, wound up just doing that roof myself too. Maybe itâs just the roofers around here, but you just get no guarantee of work anymore, and itâs so important to have a well-installed roof. As a homeowner who has had to do roofing myself repeatedly, just sell me one of these things for a few thousand dollars, I will use it to reroof all my buildings at once. Will save me some hot hours on the roof, my main concern is how much does this thing weigh, itâs hard enough getting the OSB up there on a new building, if this thing is heavy I just wonât bother. Gonna hurt myself getting it up there, before the roofing even starts.

Careful people...we need to increase our productivity as the world has changed A LOT...if you got kids still in education I suggest pushing them into an engineering position...robots are replacing all low paid unskilled and now the skilled labourers..someone will need to either operate or repair the robotic workers of the future...I myself have already been in this position and I can tell you its the way to go
