You need to try out a Tramontina or imacasa machete. Grind them to your liking before hand, they're cheap tools you need to do the finish yourself but man are they worth it. Also the handle needs a bit of sandpaper. Cool test 🫡

Know what else you can get for $40? The schrade kukuri ( definitely not how that’s spelled 😅) machete. I’ve cut through nails and it just rolled the edge a bit. That tells me it’s a softer heat treat. I’ve cut through several two and a half inch trees with one swing with a razor edge I’ve put on it. I’m also a martial arts so my strikes are more powerful than average. It will chip if you cut into concrete. The handle isn’t particularly comfortable either. Think you could rate it? I’m not sure it will pass your test

Had this blade it broke in half 🎉 while chopping at some 5 inch thick branches. Figured it was gurthy enough to hack through it nooope 😂 lol. Although iv had one of there field knives forever sheath was trash made a new one but for price cant complain. I just got the swedge knife from them see how it goes for 20 buc

Those are absolute trash. Had an uncle buy me in as a gift years ago, and found it to literally be the worst designed tool i ever tried to use

ive had the same blade for years and have completed far more difficult tasks... the issues you've run into are strictly a lack of your own abilities. not the knives problem.... its not the equipment but the operator
