Being raised Mormon, we were told not to blame Satan for our sins, that guilt was our responsibility and ours alone. Conversely, we should not take pride in our own virtues or achievements. That glory belongs to God alone. For a people who call themselves saints, Mormons seem fixated on making themselves wretched. It's the same double standard that Winger employs, although in a different context.

Why is the responsibility upon God when we are the ones that have turned away from God?
Besides...whatever responsibility that you accuse God of having God took that responsibility upon himself in the form of Jesus and died for our sins upon the cross so that we can have the opportunity of having our corrupted, immortal souls washed clean of its corruption, but we must give God our permission to do that cleaning of our immortal souls, God is NOT just going to do it because then such a thing would violate our freewill.
Believe it or NOT there are people that like who they are as sinners and do NOT want their corruption washed away from their immortal souls and so God is allowing them to keep that corruption, but God is NOT going to allow them access into heaven with it.
They will be separated from God in hell and in hell they will suffer from the full effects of the torment of their corruption that they wanted to keep for all eternity.

To claim that my will is an obstacle to a god's desire is to admit the superiority of that will to an all-powerful desire.
My will is a stone a god cannot lift.
