Some people are missing the point here: this is an exceptionally good value for money camera. It was always intended primarily to be a photography camera, but it is very good in video modes. You can always say that it does not have this feature or that one, so buy a camera that does. I own the G7 and love it!

Sigma actually makes 3 great prime lens for this camera that makes it worth picking up, I have the sigma mft 30mm f1.4 and the mft sigma 16mm f1.4 and makes the photos and videos look fantastic 100% worth picking up this camera and the prime sigma lenses if you are a beginner!
