Better to have it under the roof and have air flow around it. Even in the desert, moisture can collect under a tarp.

That's a lot of lumber. Here in Thailand, it would cost you a small fortune to get that much wood. Most structures in home building they use lots of steel and concrete blocks. So then you have to have skills like welding. I know how to weld but not the best welder. We only use wood for decoration. Lol
