The fact that people will desecrate a soldiers grave is the most aggravating thing.

They do this to remember those who are still lost, and those not identified that they are not forgotten.

Been at the tomb for the changing of the guard before and it’s truly one of the most disciplined military procedures I’ve ever seen take place. Not to mention the overall feeling of solace and respect you feel just for the gravity of the place itself and Arlington surrounding it.

That's not Jocko, it's Mike Glover. The Navy aren't tomb guards.

My father in law was a guard of the Tomb. Once, President Truman walked out to the Tomb and talked with him.

I was blessed as a cadet at a military academy with the opportunity to participate in the changing of the guard. As well as a wreath ceremony. As a cadet we lined the walkway, presented arms, which in our case was a salute. Our detail, instructed and commanded by a guard himself. Was a chilling reminder that freedom wasn’t free. A very impressionable experience as a young man but absolute honor to even have the opportunity to meet these guards. Let alone stand in uniform next to these amazing men.

God bless the soldiers who sacrifice of them selves for what we a hold dear.

Blight upon the men at top that throw our military lives away for nothing.

One thing I really like about the U.S. Army (there’s actually quite a few things to like). What an honor and what dedication. Another one to like is Pointe Du Hoc. Damn……. Lance Corporal; USMC; 1964 - 1968.

The fact they even need to do this in America is mind bogling in Australia the tomb of the unknown soldier is at the Australian war museum in Canberra and is UN guarded because we respect what our soldiers did for us.
