Why, as the human race we gave ourselves this type of power, just shows how stupid we are. To have these to simply scare each other is just moronic. We need to have all nukes dismantled period. They have zero purpose. We were given life on such a rare planet in our universe. Imagine the odds of any one individual being born. One thing in the timeline of you being here changed & you dont exsist. Your great grandfather doesn't go to that restaurant, your great great grandmothers family doesn't move to the city they did, your father doesn't get up the nerve to ask your mother out that day. They claim that nowadays such an attack no longer posses an existential threat, because we have highly sophisticated means to intercept the missiles before they reach their targets, even in an all out preemptive strike. To what extent that may or may not be the case is anyone’s guess, I suppose.
