My only worry is that you end up running into something sharp in the water like a stick and it ends up sinking.. id try to make it somewhat stronger If you plan on using it for anything other than short distances where you could swim back to shore If ever need be. She’s awesome though, looks like it floats and glides extremely well especially being so lightweight.

When you rip with your chain saw, sharpen it with a 10 degree angle on the top plate. You can go up to a 15 degree, but 10 works well for me on Walnut, Cherry and Oak.
