Your "rough outline" is an encyclopedia to me! πŸ˜‚

Maybe the "advanced" section could cover integrating TS into React, particularly an existing JS-based React project. Would be good to see examples of converting existing components to use TS. Also, a look at how TS would change the existing React Testing Library unit tests, or just how to build unit tests when a React component is using TS.

Like someone else said, if you add in a major section that shows what TypeScript looks like in a prod environment, specifically in a React/Vue code base, and teach how to write TS in a React/Node/Express environment, I would sign up for it. Just learning types is easy and anyone can do that just going through the TS documentation, but actually integrating into a real prod environment is the hard part.

1. nullish coalescing operators and other useful operators please. 2. Migrating a JavaScript project to Typescript. Perhaps you can use the react course final project as an example.

Dependency Injection focussed on testability of code would be a nice addon to advanced topics

What would be very helpful is comparison images, slides, whatever, between the code in JS and TS. A quick visual reference that can be seen side by side is what I often miss.

public vs private vs protected, casting, static, classes, abstract classes vs interfaces, getters and setters, Inheritance vs Composition with examples of where each excels, polymorphism, programming to interfaces to decouple/loosely couple classes, common design patterns in action like the observer pattern etc. Classes and interfaces are two are the best features of Typescript, so they should get some coverage.

Awesome list! I would say promises can be pretty tricky for new users. Otherwise, great set!

Include using type never in a switch statement. It increases typessafety a lot and i learn about it really late.

Thanks for your decision. Practically can be more useful for developers if you try it with NextJS.

Always super curious about how course creators themselves learn. Like, how did YOU learn TypeScript? was it from another course? Reading TS docs? Or from lots of different sources?

Some examples framework specific? Like for example a TS based react app vs JS based react app
