Fake nails need to be a little flexible. Otherwise, your natural nails have a much higher chance of cracks, and injury (lifting from the nail bed is one, not only does this hurt like hell, water and bacteria can get inside causing infections aka "greenies"). Thats why our nails are flexible naturally!
